Compass GO… are part of a new initiative that launched in September 2022 called ‘JEFF Project’.
The JEFF Project provides prevention and early intervention for mental health, emotional wellbeing and support to young people in North East Lincolnshire who are involved with the youth justice model or at risk of becoming involved in crime. This includes;
– The young person is known to the police for antisocial behaviour
– Open on an unacceptable behaviour contract
– Open to the out of court team
– Open to youth offending
JEFF stands for Journey, Enrichment, Fulfilment, Friendship representing some of the values and aims of the project.
The JEFF Project provides a joined-up approach with key organisations working together to provide a wraparound system of holistic support to engage young people in accessing the right support at the right time and to help them on their journey to enrichment, fulfilment and positive friendships (JEFF) as a result.
The JEFF project consists of Compass Go, ‘Young and Safe’ who are a street based detached youth work team, and ‘We are with you’ a drug and alcohol abuse charity. We also work closely with police, youth offending and nominated Voluntary & Community Sector Champions to ensure that young people in hard to reach places are identified and helped.
Compass GO has dedicated team members who are now leading the project as Youth Justice Project Team Leader as well as Youth Justice Health and Wellbeing workers for the project.
You will see the Young and Safe team out and about on the streets to create awareness of The JEFF Project amongst the young people of North East Lincolnshire. The Compass GO team are on hand ready to support anyone who needs it with their mental health offering 1:1 mental health and emotional wellbeing support, group work and one off workshops to ensure children and young people have a brighter future.Back to Compass GO… North East Lincolnshire Mental Health Support Teams
