Compass Phoenix training webinars for schools

We at Compass Phoenix are delighted to offer a new range of online webinar training packages to schools across North Yorkshire.

The new training packages are as follows:

  • School Staff Wellbeing Training

In addition, we have loads of bitesize ‘Phoenix Features’ (short recorded webinars) which cover a range of mental health presentations and offer helpful advice and practical tools.

Understanding Challenging Behaviours in School This training looks to increase understanding of managing challenging behaviours in school. This will be achieved by looking at the following areas:
• What is challenging behaviour?
• Child’s perspective
• Making a positive impact
• Emotional self-regulation and co-regulation

The aim of the training is to support professionals to:
• understand what challenging behaviour is and the impact it can have on all involved – including the child’s perspective.
• gain skills, knowledge & confidence to manage our own responses and to support the child to develop better coping skills.

As a result of this training, we hope to provide professionals with:
• An increase in knowledge and empowerment to support children & young people who demonstrate challenging behaviours
• Increased confidence in managing challenging behaviours in school
• How to access support and resources that can be used with children & young people
