Compass Changing Lives have been developing a brand new Mental Health and Wellbeing App that will be ready to download soon.
The mission of Compass Changing Lives is to provide mental health support to children and young people across Derby and Derbyshire, and part of that mission is finding new ways to provide that support by making it more accessible.
Inspired by the Wakey Wellness app, released by Compass Wakefield, Changing Lives teamed up with development partners Visiba Care to produce an app of their own.
This upcoming app will have a suite of features that make accessing mental health support easier than ever. Children, young people, parents, carers and professionals will be able to access tailored mental health resources in the palm of their hand. Signing up for mental health support from the service has never been quicker, with a speedy sign up procedure through the app. Perhaps best of all is the brand new instant messaging service, that allows you to talk one to one with a practitioner using your phone.
The app will have continuous development support from launch, bringing more resources, more features and more ways to access mental health support in the future.
At Compass Changing Lives, staff are excited about how the app will improve access to the service.
Carn Truscott, Marketing and Digital Communications Officer at Compass Changing Lives, had this to say about the upcoming app:
“We can’t wait for people to get their hands on this app. Having new ways of connecting with people, like this app, will break down barriers of access to mental health information and care in the area, which is exactly what we’re all about. Plus, we’re all just so pleased with how it’s turned out! It’s been such a great process to be part of, and we hope that children, young people, families and professionals in Derbyshire will like it as much as we do.”
The app will be available to download very soon on Android and iOS devices, and will also be accessible in your browser on a desktop computer.
