Recently recruited Supervising Practitioner at Compass Bloom, Melanie Simcoe says she’s so glad to be back working for us.

Melanie previously worked as a Senior Practitioner at Compass BUZZ but left to work in a GP Surgery in Skipton close to her home on the Lancashire/North Yorkshire border.

She said: “It’s really good to come back to Compass as an organisation and to be part of a new service. This particular role that I’ve come into is very different from my old role.

“I’m really enjoying my new role. It’s been lovely coming into the team; everybody’s been welcoming and supportive and I am really enjoying going out and meeting with schools, completing link sessions with them and looking at how we can support schools in Central and West Lancashire.”

Lisa Gale, Assistant Director Operations said, “I have had the pleasure of working with Melanie for a number of years in North Yorkshire and was delighted to meet her once again when she joined the Compass Bloom team again as a Supervising Practitioner.

“It’s great she’s come back to Compass and we welcomed her with open arms.

“Mel brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge from her previous roles as a Mental Health Nurse, and from her past roles with Compass and will be a valued addition to the blossoming Compass Bloom team.”

Mel says “I will be going to university in February to do a post graduate certificate in clinical supervision so I’m really looking forward to that opportunity to learn lots of different things that I can then bring back and use within my practice and work that we’re doing in schools for children and young people.”
