An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, driven and motivated trainer to join, shape and deliver our Compass Positive Effect traded offer.  

About us

Compass Positive Effect provides practical and effective mental health and wellbeing training designed by experienced professionals from the Compass charity.

We develop mental health and wellbeing solutions through consultancy and training for schools, colleges and workplaces. Our mission is to help people to live healthier, safer and more fulfilling lives.

Our training and resource packages are cost-effective, focused on delivering practical, low or no cost solutions and can be delivered online or face to face.

We are passionate about holistic health and wellbeing and about bringing best practice and lessons learned in the community, to all in society. As the trading arm of Compass, all profits from Compass Positive Effect will be used by Compass to fund programmes to support the health and wellbeing of the wider community.

The Compass charity began in 1986 and has continued to innovate, finding creative solutions to local problems to create healthier lives and safe communities. Services are aimed at vulnerable children, young people, adults and families facing multiple issues that impact their life chances, such as lifestyle behaviours and mental health and wellbeing.

About the role

As a Training and Development Trainer your role will be to develop and deliver approved training modules and packages.

Key objectives of the role are as follows:

  • Support development and delivery of the Compass Positive Effect project plan
  • Support the development and finalisation of training modules and packages for the public and private sector
  • Lead on the delivery of Compass Positive Effect training; both face to face and online
  • Assist in the development of the Compass Positive Effect brand
  • Support the development of the Compass workforce health and wellbeing strategy
  • Represent Compass Positive Effect at national events
  • Support the Compass Positive Effect Project Manager with ongoing tasks
  • Represent Compass Positive Effect by working directly with key strategic partners and customers
  • Lead on customer audit and consultancy

The Person

You should be passionate about improving the health and wellbeing of the population and supporting organisations to improve health outcomes. You will be skilled in engaging delegates and customers via training, coaching, consultancy and practical solutions. You will also have direct experience of working and training in mental health and wellbeing. In addition, we are looking for an individual with a L3 Education and Training and Level 3 Assessing qualification (or equivalent).

You will need to be able to work flexible days and hours (including weekends and Bank Holidays) as required, have a full driving licence, access to own transport and be committed to travel across the country.
