This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a new service, North East Lincolnshire Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs). The service will ensure children, young people and families access the right help, at the right time, in the right setting, MHST teams will remove duplication and avoid children, young people and families being ‘bounced’ in between services.
Compass has a successful track record in early intervention health and wellbeing services for children and young people. We use a wide range of creative and dynamic methods of engagement, including digital interventions, across community and educational settings.

We are incredibly excited and proud to be part of the MHST trailblazer project enabling us to develop innovative methods to make a real difference to the lives of young people in North East Lincolnshire.
The service will support CYP and families providing extra capacity for early intervention support within school and college settings in three core areas:
- Providing evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing issues
- Supporting designated senior mental health leads in each setting
- Providing timely advice to school and college staff and parents as required
You will be knowledgeable and experienced in complex mental health problems and psychiatric disorders within children and young people. You will have significant experience in completing comprehensive mental health assessments including risk assessments where required. Providing practice supervision and support within the MHST team, you will provide specialist care to the most complex children and young people and will act as the conduit between MHST and Specialist CAMHS to ensure that children and young people receive the most appropriate care and interventions. Support, advice and consultation to families/carers and other professionals involved in the life of the child/young person will also form part of the role.
Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be able to network with other agencies such as Local Authority, Clinical Commissioning Groups, Public Health England, Education Staff, School Nursing, Kooth and CAMHS. Applicants must also have experience of managing staff and providing clinical supervision.
