Compass REACH offers both psychosocial and clinical interventions to young people who are involved in risk taking behaviours relating to substance misuse, poor sexual health and emotional wellbeing and mental health to young people between the ages of 9-19 (or up to 25 years for those with special educational needs or disabilities).
This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established team at a time when we are about to transform into a new and exciting service. Going forward we will be able to draw upon our vast experience of delivering frontline interventions to children and young people while embracing the opportunity to shape a new and innovative service that will be uniquely placed to deliver emotional wellbeing and mental health provision.
About the role
As a Nurse Team Leader, you will manage and co-ordinate a team of Young People’s Practitioners/Nurses who are committed to improving young people’s long-term health, resilience and emotional wellbeing in order that they might reach their potential. With support from the Service Manager, you will oversee the provision of the service on a day-to-day basis, as well as providing clinical advice and guidance to the team. You will also hold a small caseload.
You will be responsible for contributing to the overall development and performance of the service to ensure that contractual requirements and quality assurance standards are achieved.
You will be a suitably qualified mental health nurse who is registered with the NMC and you will report directly to the Service Manager. You will operate out of one of the Early Help HUBs in North Yorkshire and the exact location may be negotiated. You will be expected to work flexibly across the county in order to manage the service and team members.
In return, we offer a range of benefits including:
- Generous annual leave
- Employee Assistance Programme and OH Service
- Excellent Learning & Development opportunities and career progression
- Generous contributory Pension Scheme
