The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and solution-focused Family Practitioner to join our dynamic and innovative team. 

About Us

Compass GO… MHST Service is a high quality, accessible, outcome-focused service that delivers key elements of the MHST framework. The aim is to improve the emotional and mental health wellbeing of all children and young people in NE Lincs. We work closely with education settings to support preventative and early intervention for emotional and mental health issues.

About the role

The Family Practitioner role is to support identified parents/carers who are impacted by their child/young person’s emotional and mental health wellbeing issues and/or the parent/carers mental health is impacting on the child/young person’s wellbeing. The Family Practitioner will work alongside the practitioners in the MHST to deliver effective low-level intervention and support to the parents/carers.

The Family Practitioner will work closely with other stakeholders in the borough to ensure parents/carers are fully supported and signposted to other services for their needs to be met.

The Family Practitioner will initiate and maintain the creation of parent/carer support groups across the borough.

You will be based out of our Grimsby hub and you will work across the borough, in schools, family hubs, home visits to support parents and carers.

The person

You will have experience of working with children, young people and families and knowledge of relevant health promotion issues. You must possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships, as well as being adept at maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times.

You must possess a full driving licence and have access to your own transport.
