We have an exciting opportunity to become part of our Compass GO … Service, North East Lincolnshire Mental Health Support Teams.  The Service ensures children and young people access the right help, at the right time, in the right setting, MHST teams will remove duplication and avoid CYP/families being ‘bounced’ in between services.

About us

Compass has a successful track record in early intervention health and wellbeing services for children and young people. We use a wide range of creative and dynamic methods of engagement, including digital interventions, across community and educational settings.

Compass GO… supports CYP and families providing extra capacity for early intervention support within school and college settings in three core areas:

  • Providing evidence-based interventions for mild to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing issues
  • Supporting designated senior mental health leads in each setting
  • Providing timely advice to school and college staff and parents as required

About the role

The Engagement and Participation Worker will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will implement the participation strategy for the service. The successful candidate will work with CYP, families and key stakeholders to engage them in a variety of participation activities and support them in having a real influence in service delivery at all levels. The post holder will also hold a small caseload of children and young people with the primary aim to provide 1:1 support in order to navigate the education/health/social care system in order to access the ‘right help’ by the ‘right professional’.

About the person

The successful candidate will be experienced in working with children, young people and families and delivering 1:1 / group interventions. You will be a good communicator and someone who is able to develop, establish and maintain positive relationships with others. You will work as part of our mental health service team; willing to assist and help others. You should have a positive attitude, be adaptable and solution focused. Experience of managing a small caseload is preferred.
