Meet the team
Hi I’m Michael, I have over 15 years experience in substance misuse service, a social sciences degree and an MA/diploma in social work. As team leader my key aim is to help transform the lives of young people. A key part of my role is to continuously improve links and working relationships with other professionals and the wider community, for the benefit of young people.
Interesting fact: I am in a local band and love playing at festivals.
My name’s Alice and I have a degree in public services. In a previous role I worked with young offenders at Oakhill Secure Training Centre and with adults at HMP Swansea Prison, where I specialised in substance misuse. I enjoy being given the opportunity to help and support young people to achieve their goals.
Interesting fact – I am originally from Wales, am a keen dog lover and enjoy gamers evenings on my Xbox.
Hi I’m Stephanie, a Humanistic Integrative qualified counsellor, so I consider the whole person – mind, body and spirit – and I specialise in person-centred cognitive behavioural and transactional analysis therapies. I have many years experience of working with young people and enjoy working with them one-to-one to help them find autonomy in their lives and ensure they are able to achieve what they hope to. I am pleased to be able to offer a safe space for young people, without judgement in order to build a rapport and enable trusting relationships.
Interesting fact – I am very musical, can play the piano and love relating my feelings to music.
I’m Kayleigh, I have a BSc in Psychology and am passionate about supporting young people to make informed choices about their lives. I love going into schools to deliver assemblies and awareness sessions around substance misuse, as well as working one-to-one with young people. In my spare time I am a trustee for YiS Youth Counselling Service, and I am really pleased to have an involvement in providing support to young people in Milton Keynes.
Interesting fact: I have travelled from New York to Los Angeles and once did a helicopter flight over Niagara Falls.
