Behaviour Management

All children develop at different rates and can sometimes exhibit behaviour that can be viewed as challenging or difficult. This can be for many different reasons including changes in the family situation such as a new sibling, parent’s personal circumstances or simply your child needing some attention.

One minute guidance for behaviour management

  • Every child is different and responds to different parenting strategies.
  • Don’t give up – it takes time. Be consistent.
  • Try not to overreact.
  • Talk to your child.
  • Give more attention to the positive behaviours.
  • Use rewards to reinforce positive behaviours.
