Hand washing

Keeping your hands clean is one of the most important things you can do to avoid getting sick and spreading germs.

You should always wash your hands:

  • Before cooking
  • Before eating
  • After using the toilet
  • After blowing your nose
  • After playing outside
  • After touching pets or other animals.

Top tips for washing your hands

  1. Wet your hands using clean warm or cold water
  2. Use soap
  3. Rub your hands together front and back, around the wrist, between your fingers and don’t forget to wash around your nails.
  4. Sing the fun song below when you are washing your hands (To the tune of Row, Row, Row Your Boat).
  5. Rinse and dry your hands well.
