Clinical Governance Supervisor – HMP Hull
£29,116 – £31,365 p.a.
37hrs/week. Temporary 6 month post.
The post is based within HMP Hull Compass Offender Recovery Service (CORS), although may include some work within the CORS community site. The Clinical Governance Supervisor will work within a multi-disciplinary team to assess, plan, implement and evaluate long term planned care for problem drug users. The role involves the comprehensive review of current clinical processes in line with current legislation to enhance the service delivered.
The services delivered from this site include, prescribing and psychosocial interventions. The post holder must abide by the relevant policies, procedures and code of conduct as well as practicing within the accepted NMC Code of Professional Conduct including the preparation and maintenance of accurate records.
Work is conducted within a host environment and the post holder must abide by the relevant policies, procedures and code of conduct of the host organisation (e.g. The Prison Service). Failure to do so could put the contract or the individuals position under threat. The post also calls for close co-operation with probation and prison service staff, drug treatment and rehabilitation agencies in the criminal justice system and the community.
A degree of flexibility is required to cover the service including evenings and weekend activities.

EIS Worker – YPS Coventry

This post will operate as part of the Compass Aspire – Early Intervention Service which provides personalised behavioural change support to young people, across Coventry city, systematically identified as being at risk of substance misuse, poor sexual health, poor/coercive/abusive relationships and teenage pregnancy to avoid the escalation of risks that may require greater levels of intervention at a later stage.
The post holder will be expected to undertake comprehensive assessments including the assessment of risk and competency to consent to treatment. The range of interventions delivered by the service will include brief psycho-social interventions, risk reduction, family work, care planning and working with other lead professionals involved in the care of the young person. It is essential that the post holder carries out their work within the context of Children’s legislation including Every Child Matters; Safeguarding Children and Fraser Guidelines relating to informed consent.
This post will require a creative and dynamic approach to engaging with young people, those hard to reach and other vulnerable groups of young people. The post holder will be expected to deliver workshops, group work and 1:1 sessions to professionals, young people and their families and be able to build long term sustainable relationships with key stakeholders, community groups and community leaders across the localities.
