 An exciting opportunity has arisen within our Scarborough, Whitby and Ryedale drug treatment services.  Predominantly working from our clinic in Scarborough, you will manage and coordinate the staff team across the area overseeing the provision of these prescribing, psycho-social and recovery services on a day-to-day basis.  You will be responsible for contributing to the overall development and performance of the service to ensure that contractual requirements are achieved.  Along with the Service Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that service users are supported to achieve sustainable treatment outcomes and long term recovery.

Volunteers- CORS Hull

 We are seeking volunteers who could carry out one or more of the following activities:

 Activities

  1. Mentors – Act as a mentor and positive role model, providing support to offenders in a befriending role both during their sentence, upon and after release.
  2. General support – Provide a range of general support activities such as:
    • Supporting clients in accessing recovery activities in the community such as attending appointments, mutual aid groups e.g. AA and NA
    • Support the work of the CORS team by contributing to tasks such as administrative activities or assisting running groups
    • Work with the CORS team to publicise the service
  3. Specialist support – Bring specialist knowledge or skills to expand the range of activities provided by the service e.g. around benefits, legal issues, counselling, music, art, life skills, health and well-being, etc

 We are holding an open information session on the 21st January at Beverley Road Hull.

VOLUNTEER – ADMINISTRATOR

Harm Reduction Service - Hull

Who are we:

The Harm Reduction Service is a busy open access service and needle exchange facility.  All clients attending the Harm Reduction Service have a substance misuse issue either past or present. 

What we want:

We require Volunteer Administration Support workers to enhance with the development of the service and to assist us with delivering a high quality Harm Reduction Service.  You will be required to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries and have administration experience e.g. taking and transferring calls on a telephone, working with Microsoft Office and E mail.  Duties will include:

  • Operating a four line switchboard at specific times of the day.
  • Responsible for letting service users and visitors in/out of the building
  • Support the service to do filing, photocopying, shredding confidential documents, making up assessment packs etc

Volunteer Administrators will develop skills and gain experience of working within a substance misuse agency and supporting our service-users. All Volunteers receive training and regular supervision.

The Harm Reduction Service is open Monday, Thursday and Friday 9am-5pm and Tuesday and Wednesday 9am-7pm.  We are seeking a reliable person/s to offer a regular commitment of any or all of the following –

  • Monday; 1.30pm-4.30pm
  • Tuesday; either 1.30pm-4.30pm or 5.00pm-7.00pm
  • Wednesday; either 1.30pm-4.30pm or 5.00pm-7.00pm
  • Thursday; 1.30pm-4.30pm
  • Friday; 9.00am -12.30pm

Volunteer Administrator – Compass Recovery Centre, Hull

Compass Recovery Centre offers support to individuals and their families who want to do something positive about their current or previous drug use. The team provide a range of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy groups and 1:1 support alongside a broad range of alternative activities including computer skills, relaxation therapies, Natural Highs, arts, access to qualifications and help with literacy and numeracy. 

 We require a volunteer administrator to enhance the development of the Recovery Centre, working with staff to deliver a high quality specialist service.  You will be required to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries and have administration experience e.g. taking and transferring calls on a telephone, working with Microsoft Office and E mail.  Duties will include:

  • Operating a four line switchboard at specific times of the day.
  • Responsible for letting service users and visitors in/out of the building – in accordance with scheduled appointments
  • Support the Administrator to do filing, photocopying, shredding confidential documents, making up assessment packs etc

 Volunteer Administrators will develop skills and gain experience of working within a substance misuse agency and supporting our service-users. All Volunteers receive training and regular supervision.

 We are seeking a reliable person/s to offer a regular commitment of at least 3.5 hours per week to cover any or all of the following – Thursday 9am– 5pm and Friday 9am– 4.30pm.

 Volunteer Administrator – Compass Crossover, Hull

 

Compass Crossover is a structured day programme working with clients in the criminal justice system.  All clients attending Crossover have a substance misuse issue either past or present. 

We require a volunteer administrator to enhance the development of the Crossover DRR programme, working with staff to deliver a high quality specialist service.  You will be required to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries and have administration experience e.g. taking and transferring calls on a telephone, working with Microsoft Office and E mail.  Duties will include:

  • Operating a four line switchboard at specific times of the day.
  • Responsible for letting service users and visitors in/out of the building – in accordance with scheduled appointments
  • Support the Administrator to do filing, photocopying, shredding confidential documents, making up assessment packs etc

Volunteer Administrators will develop skills and gain experience of working within a substance misuse agency and supporting our service-users. All Volunteers receive training and regular supervision.

Compass Crossover is open Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and we are seeking a reliable person/s to offer a regular commitment of any or all of the following -

Volunteer Administrator – DDC Scarborough

Compass Clinic inScarboroughprovides a specialist prescribing service for complex or chaotic service users.  The team is nurse-led, with Compass nurses working alongside General Practitioners and they provide physical health assessments, blood borne virus assessments, testing and vaccinations and information and advice.  The service also offers advice and assistance to other professionals working with substance misusers.

We require a volunteer administrator to enhance the development of the clinic, working with the team to deliver a high quality specialist service.  You will be required to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries and have experience of administration duties e.g. telephone, Microsoft packages and e-mail.  Duties will include:

  • manning the reception area including taking phone calls and facilitate Practice Nurses with their client appointments.
  • Be responsible for letting service users and visitors in/out of the building – in accordance with scheduled appointments
  • Support the Clinic administrators to do filing, photocopying, shredding confidential documents etc
  • Complete basic tasks on Excel

Volunteer Administrators will develop skills and gain experience of working within a substance misuse agency and supporting our service-users. All Volunteers receive training and regular supervision.

The Clinic is open Monday and Tuesday 9am-5pm, Wednesday 9am-7.30pm, Thursday 9am-7pm and Friday 9am-4.30pm.  We are seeking a reliable person/s to offer a regular commitment within these times.  Please state on your application what days you are available to work.

 Compass is a rapidly expanding independent sector organisation providing services to help communities cope with the impact of illicit drug and alcohol use. Compass Harrow are seeking an experienced administrator within the Harrow community drug and alcohol service.

 The post is based within our Harrow services, undertaking work to help and support management and service staff deliver an effective service for clients, commissioners and other partner organisations who work with and alongside Compass, the post requires close communication with head office departments .e.g. HR and Finance.

The post holder is responsible for opening the office and ensuring administrative areas e.g. office, reception, meeting rooms, are tidy and presentable.  The role involves significant time spent providing reception cover.
