Lewisham Young People’s Health and Wellbeing Service (YPHWB)
£40,200 - £47,340 including London Weighting Allowance
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced operational manager with a background in substance misuse and sexual health to join our Young People’s Health and Wellbeing Service in Lewisham, Compass@the Hub.
Compass is a values based organisation whose mission is to create healthier lives and safer communities. We are passionate about making a real difference to individuals and improving health outcomes in local areas. We are an established charity with an extensive reach that spans from Yorkshire to London.
Lewisham Council has an established local partnership focused on developing innovative ways of working that are better at targeting services that provide early effective support for children and young people. The Lewisham YPHWB Service is a new and highly innovative service commissioned to deliver a range of universal, targeted and specialist health and wellbeing interventions to young people. The evidenced based interventions delivered will focus on three strands of care specific to young people’s risk taking behaviours; risky sexual behaviour, substance misuse and emotional health and wellbeing.
You will be an energetic, passionate and organised manager who has grounded experience of working closely with commissioners and other stakeholders. You will be comfortable with leading and motivating a diverse team with support from your team leader to achieve contractual targets and KPIs and ensure that an excellent service is delivered to our young people. An ability to see the ‘bigger picture’ and to discern and navigate your way through differing agendas and sensitivities is essential. You will also have the confidence and self awareness to identify your own areas for development and learning which Compass fully welcomes and supports.
In addition, you will:
Be an experienced operational manager with good interpersonal skills
Be educated to degree level or equivalent
Be able to lead and motivate people
Have experience of working with children and young people as well as safeguarding experience
Have worked within substance misuse and/or sexual health services
Have a flexible approach to work, with an openness to take on board and work to different points of view
Forge and maintain highly effective working relationships with a range of partners and stakeholders
Demonstrate significant experience of service implementation and delivery of contract outcomes, working collaboratively with clinical commissioners and other providers
Share Compass’ commitment to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults
In return, we offer a range of benefits including:
