We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and motivated School Staff Nurse to join our Warwickshire School Health & Wellbeing Service.
Compass works in communities currently within the Midlands, Yorkshire and London providing innovative and integrated health and wellbeing services for children, young people and adults. Our Specialist directorate is made up of pioneering risk taking behaviour and early help services for vulnerable children and young people/adults, and specialist substance misuse services for young people and adults. Our Universal and Targeted directorate provides transformational school aged healthy child programmes and prevention services. Over the past 5 years our portfolio has undergone significant expansion to deliver services that focus on a broader lifestyles agenda – substance misuse, sexual health, mental health and emotional wellbeing, and healthy relationships.
About the role
You will be based from our Rugby hub which operates across the Rugby, Leamington Spa and Warwick area. You will work from a variety of settings including schools, partner agencies, children’s centres and homes. You will be required to work flexibly and creatively to best engage and meet the diverse health needs of the school aged population.
You will be an active member of the team working to deliver the Healthy Child Programme (5-19) within a locality and support a skill mix team to enable the efficient and effective delivery of the School Health and Wellbeing Service.
There will be a requirement for you to work independently and autonomously, to manage your own workload within a corporate caseload. There will also be a requirement to carry out some early evening and weekend working based on evidenced need.
