"To help drug users move away from problem drug use and into healthier and safer lifestyles"

Mission Statement

Core Values
We are an independent organisation providing services for people concerned about the health and social impact of illicit drug use. Since 1986, we have been a major contributor to the national response to drug misuse problems, earning a reputation for innovative and high quality work.

We aim to provide a comprehensive, accessible and flexible response to the health, social and legal problems faced by drug users and this is reflected both in the range of services that Compass offers and in its development of new areas of work.

Compass has established an approach to partnership working that recognises and supports the values and principles of its partners.

The immediate priority for Compass is to:

"Maintain the health and social status of drug users by reducing the potential for damage from illicit drug use."

In order to maintain the high standard of its work and to ensure the delivery of effective and appropriate interventions, Compass has a policy of investment in experienced and qualified staff drawn from the medical, social work, youth and criminal justice fields.
