"Our unparalled growth has been driven by a passionate desire to provide the best and most comprehensive services possible"

Introduction

Welcome to the Compass website.

Compass is a non profit, non government organisation, set up in 1986, to provide services to people concerned with the health and social impact of illicit drug use. In our 20 years of operation, we have established a network of agencies across the country, providing a comprehensive range of services spanning health, social and criminal justice care agendas.

One of the leading providers of drug treatment services in the United Kingdom, Compass has earned a nationwide reputation for the high standard of its work. We provide care that spans the entire treatment framework from needle exchange to rehabilitation programmes and cover the full range of treatment goals, from harm reduction to abstinence.

Our wide range of services provides structured and unstructured programmes for diverse user groups, including young people, BME drug users, crack users, drug using offenders, the homeless and families. A major factor in the growth of Compass has been our commitment to innovation and quality, which have served to build durable partnerships with our commissioners and contractors.

Each Compass service is designed to work in partnership with other agencies, delivering in tandem, the components of a comprehensive and continuous programme of care. The coverage of our services provides access points to treatment and rehabilitation services across England and enhances options for integrating care between community based services and services operating within the criminal justice system.

With over 20 years experience of designing and delivering substance misuse services, Compass has an enviable record of achievement, having consistently met our service objectives whilst obtaining high levels of consumer satisfaction. Compass has over 60 service sites throughout England and helps over 25,000 people each year.
