High Sheriff of North Yorkshire presents Awards

Charlie Forbes Adam, the High Sheriff of North Yorkshire, recently met with the Compass East Riding Criminal Justice Team and was delighted to present them with High Sheriff Awards.

The awards were given in recognition of the team’s continued work with over 18s who have been involved in criminal activity, helping to address their substance misuse and to prevent them from re-offending in the East Riding area.

The service is jointly funded by East Riding Public Health and the Police and Crime Commissioner, Matthew Grove.

Tony Margetts, substance misuse commissioner for East Riding Public Health, said: “This is great news for the team and well deserved, I think the team has done a particularly good job in moving from working just with drug users to engaging with alcohol related offenders”.
