Bridging the Digital Divide
Service users who attend the Compass DRR Day Programmes in Goole and Bridlington are benefitting from new IT facilities, thanks to a grant from the Sir James Reckitt Charity.
The new facilities – which include laptops, software and printers – have enabled staff to add computing courses to the already burgeoning and varied programme which includes art, Reiki, acupuncture, drug and health awareness groups, life skills and guest speakers.
The initiative will enable the Day Programmes to tackle digital as well as social exclusion by providing opportunities for service users to get hands on with technology and develop these increasingly essential life skills.
